I love my old school curling iron, it heats up like no wand I've ever purchased lol and they've been running cheaper in stores since people want wands more now.

I've tried just wrapping around while the clamp is closed and it never seems to work... So that's why I tried the way shown above. And I agree with Lama K. The old school curling irons are my favorite!
