Hopefully I put this topic in the correct spot.. I don't think I've ever seen a bra post here.

OK. So, I went to Victoria's Secret for some new bras last week and I've worn a size 34c for years now. They insisted on measuring me again and they came up with 32DD. At first I was like ummm yeah okay 😒 and then I tried it on and woah, it fit! So now, I get home and I realize that these bras fit a little weird. I'm falling out of the top of them.. Have VS changed their fits or what? There is no way I am remotely bigger than a DD, lol.

Here is a semi-recent pic. I am petite which I've been told can contribute to a bigger actual cup size?

A lot of bras do that with me as well, I think it's because the bra cup is short. Does that make sense lol.

Yeah, it does. I just don't want to have the whole quadruple boob effect lol.

I don't like how VS measures their bra sizes on people
They put the tape over your bust? That's not accurate
Try measuring yourself

Btw 32 DD doesn't mean your boobs are way bigger compared to a 34C

Here's a good walk through for measuring:

I worked at la senza (Canada version of vs) and I did all the fittings and everyone was always soo shocked about their true sizes. If you have fuller boobs, like round and firm and like full not flat or floppy, then you'll need a fuller cup not one of those Demi's. Because you will inevitably fall out :) good luck darling and measuring yourself you will not get a true measurement. Have a friend measure you and then do the math :)

Number 1, I've always heard that VS bras run small. And it also depends on the bra style. There's full coverage, average coverage, demis, & push-ups. The demis & push-up will cause a little spillage in some girls even if you're in the right size. Its the cut of the bra. Plus it also depends on where you hook your bra. There's usually 3 hooks on the average bra. And bra "authorities" say when you are fitted, you should feel the most comfortable on the loosest hook and as the bra ages & stretches out in time, you can move to the middle, then the tightest. Well, I don't know about you, but I've never stretched out a bra. Maybe because I don't keep my bras for years & years. I believe you know your own body & you should choose accordingly. For Eg. If you fluctuate in weight, I would get sized using the middle hook. If you don't fluctuate, but you do keep your bras for years, then maybe the loosest hook is for you. I go up in weight 5lbs or so, I use the middle. I recently lost some weight so I changed to the tightest. If you buy a bra using the loosest hook, what's going to happen if you gain some weight? The middle hook gives you some adjustibility if you gain a few lbs or if you lose a few lbs. This is just my opinion.

Thank you ladies, this all makes sense. I am "fuller" so I guess thats where the correct sizing came from. Its crazy that I've been wearing the wrong size for so long!

I just had a similar experience. I must warn though the typical bras they use as samples in the fitting room are the body by victoria bras. I grabbed a different one before and the fit was off. Make sure you try one before leaving. Personally I like the perfect coverage body bra. It's very comfortable but still cute. The cup comes a little higher than the Demi too.
