I finally bought myself a beauty blender! I'm wondering how you clean it and how often? Also, if you have any tips for it I'd love to know!

I use either the bb cleaner or dawn soap. I clean it everyday before I use it. as for tips bounce it on house skin instead of rubbing. it leaves a nice finish that way.

I use the BB cleanser solid, and I clean mine after every use. That may be excessive, but I don't know..something about the dirty sponge freaks me out lol. As far as tips, try using like kneading motions, rather than just bouncing it off of your skin. I feel like it blends it a little better.

Thank you! I didn't purchase the cleanser for it. So hopefully it's easy to clean without it. Lol.

I use shampoo lol or dawn soap. Shampoo actually really gets all the foundation out of my blender

I'll have to try shampoo. I used it this morning and loved it but my foundation isn't coming off of it all the way. :/ I've been trying to clean the damn thing forever! Lol.

If you feel like it's still not coming off all the way it's prob cause it's stained from the foundation not because there's still foundation in the sponge.

I use face wash,I tried shampoo and it didn't work for my brushes or my bb, unless you user baby shampoo. And if you use Revlon colorstay then that foundation does stain the sponge,

Well I hope with some more soaking it will come out. Lol. I only used it once and my foundation is still on it. :( I use the time wise Mary Kay matte foundation.

Instead of wetting mine with water, I use cream or a lotion. Embryolisse Lait creme concentrate works perfect combined with it. You can also soak it in a bit of setting spray as well. I also soak mine with MACS strobe cream so it gives my foundation a bit of a highlight. Its an expensive sponge and I try to be as creative as possible with it!

I got the bb pure (the white one!) sponge along with the solid cleanser because some people said the dye comes off the pink one. So far, I haven't had any staining from foundations or concealers.
I first apply the foundation on my face in a few spots then use the damp bb to blend it out by bouncing it against my skin. Then dot the concealer and do the same as I did with foundation. Then I will dip the tip of the sponge into my setting powder and press it under my eyes to set the concealer.
After I have done everything that I'm going to do with it, I stop and go wash it out with the bb solid. That soap works great and has kept the sponge bright white! I will rub it against the solid and get the soap all over it then start to gently rub and squeeze it, trying to get the soapy water into the sponge too then rinse it really well.
Then when I'm done cleaning it, I go finish the rest of my makeup. I don't know if it makes a difference but I haven't let it dry with the foundation on it and clean it pretty much immediately after getting my foundation on.
