How do you do designs on your nails with tape without peeling off your other nail polish?

I'm following, nothing has worked for me, no matter what it rips it off. Even if I waited a whole day before doing the nail art.

For the base color I wait til it's dry or at least mostly dry. Then use painters tape and then peel off the tape right after I have the polish how I want it. In my opinion painters tape works way better than the clear tape.

That's my problem as well Shanae! I'll have to give painters tape a try.

I agree with Tiffany - I use a painters tape or if I only have scotch tape I'll stick it on my hand a few times before putting it on my nail. That way it still keeps the paint off but it a sticky enough to pull off the polish underneath.

Put a clear layer over first, then put the tape on!

I find it's best to remove the tape while it's still pretty wet, but do it very slowly and carefully, holding the tape gently with tweezers usually does it for me.
