If your dark circles are genetic then there's nothing you can do about them.
If they're not then you can diminish their appearance by getting enough sleep, drinking enough water, and sleeping slightly propped up.

When I'm sick I just let it run its course because its not worth the headache of applying anything. I just focus on proper skincare...a moisturizer and eye cream...the bare minimum. Plus, drink a ton of fluids and rest.

Try a cooling gel pad or ^ like Emma said, a good 'ol spoon ;). It de puffs. Also, if you'd like to try a brightening eye cream it will help diminish the appearance of the eye bags. Ex. Origins Ginzing cream.
