Does waxing your eyebrows hurt?

My eyebrows aren't terrible. But they aren't great looking, obviously. I've never had them done. I've plucked them very little just to get the really bad spots. But I'm scared it will hurt to wax them. Tips? Suggestions? Does it hurt?

It only hurts under my eyebrows on the skin that's closest to my eye lid..but to each his own

Plucking all the time isn't the best way to remove hair. My aunt used to pluck...she has no eyebrows now. I love getting mine waxed, because the results are amazing. The wax is warm and feels nice, but when the paper rips it off along with the hair, it stings. It feels like getting scratched, but the sting goes away in 5 seconds.
