My hair is so fine and naturally straight that I am never able to style it. If I use hairspray it just makes my hair look greasy an hard. Any suggestions on how to get my hair to be a little less fine and easier to style?

When I curl it always seems to fall as soon as I placed the curl. I also have medium length hair so it is a little difficult to do an updo. Thank you for your suggestion though.

Fine as in meaning thin/not a lot of hair/not thick? If that's your problem then you can get layers cut into your hair and when it grows out your hair will be thicker, that's what happened to my hair. I got layers cut and my hair got thicker.

Layers on fine hair is a big no no, makes it look even finer. You may need to do wet sets so your curls will last longer... Pin curls, perm rods, rollers, etc.

Try a thickening product. Eufora is a product line that has a great product called "Thickening Serum". When you apply to wet hair, and then blowdry, the heat activates the product and causes it to thicken each individual strand. It's not a volumizer in that its not intended for root lift but to thicken each strand. It is not sticky and doesn't have a lot of hold but leaves the hair soft and shiny. One of my favorite products!

messy buns look great with your kind of hair, curl your hair then tease the roots for the volume
