I know two people in my direct environment who did this, and they both had to chop of their hair a couple of inches. so I wouldn't recommend it.

I did it, and it strengthened and thickened out my hair, made it super smooth and frizz free for a whole year. I definitely recommend it

yup I tried about 3 years ago, had to put a weave in my hair. that didn't work so I had to do the big chop again

My mom and I have very curly hair, hers is thin and mine is thick and a lot of hair. I was really wasn't sure if I should get it or not because I was afraid of the damage it would cause. my mom got it done and her hair is so much healthier! its smooth, frizz free, damage free and a lot thicker. im going to get it done soon, and because it makes the hair thicker and mine is already thick im going to cut in layers (because thinning is very bad)

I'm a hairstylist and do these all the time on clients.. They are great and you CAN color your hair after.. There are different types(brands) of keratin treatments I use lazio and its really good.
Maybe ask around some salons and see what kind they use

I take anatomy and we were discussing keratin treatment and the effects of it. Some of the chemicals they use are know to cause cancer. I think it's because it has formaldehyde or something similar.

The amount of formdehyde is so small. It's more dangerous to the stylist because they do them often... Not really for the person getting it

I'm chicken so starting out with temp keratin treatment first. See how I like it. It's only 79 bucks and lasts two months. They even have one that lasts 6 washes. Don't know if its the same process.
