So despite my efforts my lips are chapped, and dry, and cracked. I use lip balm every night. Anything I can do to help? Whenever I put on lip stick my lips look really really bad!!

Try avoid using lipstick as much until your lips recover , instead of using balm use natural remedies like coconut oil etc, also avoid licking or biting your lips as much

Make sure you're drinking lots of water, dry and chapped lips can be caused by dehydration.

Definitely drink lots of water. Before you wear lipstick, make sure you exfoliate your lips, I believe sugar scrubs are popular but I've never tried it myself. Then apply Vaseline or another strong, hydrating balm like Carmex.

Definitely keep yourself very well hydrated. From past experience the items listed by the beauties above actually caused more issues than help. As mentioned definitely take a break from using any lipstick. What saved my lips and what I still use to this day is Skinceuticals Antioxidant Lip Repair. This stuff rehydrates the lips smooths out the nasty lines. I apply it twice a day and little goes a long way. For two weeks I applied that product and topped it off with Lypsyl Lip Balm. I also applied a lip mask consisting of honey, glycerine and olive oil. Left it on for about an hour, removed with a warm baby wash cloth and then would go in the lip repair and lip balm.

If my lips are cracked and dry I like to use a lip mask, I use the one from Mary Kay and it works nicely, also if you go to The Face Shop you can find jelly type lip masks and it works super good! 😘😘

You should definitely drink more water. Then try exfoliating your lips, a little bit of water and some sugar scrubbed on your lips would do, then as soon as your done with that, put Vaseline on your lips
