You're welcome. Maybe you could try going brown?

My hair is naturally black.
People say hair isn't black but everyone thought my hair was dyed black, got it from my Asian side.
I eventually dyed it a blue black and it faded making my hair a very very dark brown. My instructor noticed cause my roots were like pitch black when she used me as an example in front of class on how to section hair.
It's definitely possible with minimal damage. You'd use a color-stripper first.
Then I'd use Guy Tangs advice and only use a 20 volume and just let it process with that. It takes longer but it definitely doesn't make your hair feel damaged, just a little dry and then once you tone or put a color on top it feels good again because certain dyes help bring the PH back to normal.
I use the matrix hair color to tone my hair after and the matrix silver shampoo about once a week and my hair is in good condition and I always get compliments on it haha
