Good morning! I had a question that I'm puzzled about. I had done the no heat challenge for about a month and a half now and then a few minutes ago I tried straightening my hair for my hat photos and it would not straighten?! It's on the same setting it's always been, I am using the same method/pressure. I thought I was almost done and I looked and all the pieces were half curly still? I went back over it and still nothing? It won't work. Has this happened to anyone after not using heat for a long time. Seems a little odd to me but maybe I am missing something?

My first thought was that maybe something is wrong with your iron. Sometimes when things sit for a long time without use they can become less effective or powerful in a sense, in that maybe your iron says it is as hot as it needs to be, but it isn't. The other option could be that your hair requires a higher heat setting now; I'm not sure why that would change but hair changes often, like our skin, and we have to change our routines to reflect that.

I had it on the highest power because I was getting frustrated with it haha. I don't want to get back into the habit of frying my hair but I had to take some business photos and my hair while dry curly in a hat makes me look a bit like bozo the clown! I don't know what has changed but I'm not going to try it again. I hated it the entire day. Thanks for the input! :)
