Has anyone here used an at home hair removal device like the nono or something similar? I want to get the hair removal device from ulta but I'm iffy spending 400$ on it what if it doesn't work.

I have not bought it but I was about to buy something similar, I'm glad I didn't because I read a lot of reviews and every one hates it because all it does is burn the hair, so it's basically like shaving except it can't burn thick hair, also you'd have to go over the same patch of skin because it doesn't burn all hair with one stroke and you'll have burning smell.

By the way, a lot of reviews said that it's something that's worth $10

If you are specifically interested in the NoNo you should I visit YouTube. Grac3yardgirl did an in depth review and test of that product in her "does this thing really work" series. She's not only entertaining but super informative. She tried it and shared a lot of advice and reviews from others about it. Overall, I think that none of these devices really work and you should just stick to either professional removal or something like wax strips.

I didn't like the nono, your hair burns and sometimes you burn your skin. It's very hard to maneuver and in the end you smell like burnt for several days, even after shower. I don't use it anymore.

Definitely do not get the NoNo! First of all, it doesn't even do that great of a job. Also it can be a little uncomfortable on your skin depending on weather you have sensitive skin or not. And the razor (or whatever it's called that gets rid of the hair lol) gets dull really fast so therefore you have to always buy replacements which you can't buy separately. You have to buy a whole new NoNo just to get a new razor.

The nono doesn't work that well. I use the bellalite hair removal system. that and the Remington are the top 2 on the market for at home hair removal systems but they're around $500 - $700 but they do work.

My friend used the nono and she hated it, she said it was a huge waste of money.

I tried the NoNo and I'll get in depth with that.
Basically there are two cartridges. A smaller one and a larger one you can attach.
You put the No!No! Over the area and the light turns on(the light is just a gimic lol, doesn't do anything) you'll notice an orange line.
It's a wire that heats up and burns off the hair.
It will make your room smell like burnt hair.
When you're done, it's prickly.
You then have to use their buffer pad to smooth down the stubble.
It's basically an electric razor and the smooth away.
On top of that the cartridges cost like $20 and have to keep being replaced and mine only lasted doing my legs twice. Then the buffing pad only worked for my calves and got dull. Those are like $10 or something.
I'd definitely recommend the Remington I-light pro if you have lighter skin and dark hair. I use it and notice my hairs don't really grow back. After two times I saw results. My hair grew back patchy with bald spots, I wasn't thorough using it so I missed spots but it definitely worked.
I think I paid like $150 it feels like being snapped with a rubberband
