First, I would straighten my hair and leave it down for a week to give your hair a break. Then, start experimenting with looser/ messy styles. Try a messy bun instead of a tight one. Maybe even braiding or pulling back prices in the front with a Bonny pin. I live in CA too and it is really hot! However, it isn't too bad to leave your hair down at all.

There's a thing called traction alopecia that can happen from wearing tightly pulled hairstyles, like buns. Just keep your hairstyles loose and give your hair a break
That means letting it down unfortunately but I'm sure you want to keep your hair

If you're worried that your hairline is receding I would stop putting your hair in tight hairstyles. What Ari mentioned with traction alopecia could be what's happening and if that's the case hairloss from that is not reversible.
Either way, go to the doctor and get a checkup.

Your hair looks dry mama. Try purchasing more moisturizing products. And try not to put your hair in a bun all the time. Look on YouTube to look at hairstyle tutorial with your hair down or in braids or something so you won't keep pulling your hair back which causes tension on your edges. When you do put it in a bun, don't make it right too. If you do notice a lot of hair loss, I would definitely see a doctor Hun.
