Hi everyone, since summer is here I want to lighten my hair but not dye it so I looked at some natural options and chamomile tea showed up. I was wondering if this works to lighten hair or if it will just ruin my hair? I have dirty blond hair with honey/strawberry hints.

Chamomile will turn your hair yellow. It's like the opposite of toner. I put it in my blonde hair and it made it bright yellow. I suggest spritzing lemon in your hair and then going out in the sun

I haven't tried chamomile, but I have tried lemon and it will lighten your hair. I just recommended diluting the lemon juice first ( make lemonade minus the sugar), and follow with a conditioning treatment. Hope that helps.

Lemon works but it's really damaging it made my hair feel like straw over time no matter how much conditioner I used but diluting it might help never tried that

Lemon does lighten your hair, but it dries your hair out. In my opinion, it's not worth it. When I wanted to lighten my hair, I used honey+conditioner. It is a gradual hair lightener and it can take up to a week to see results, but the lighter your hair is, the faster you'll see results in my experience. I just sit out in the sun with this in my hair and then wash it out. It's not super drying and in the next couple days to a week, you should start to see some results (: If you don't have blonde hair, don't expect this remedy to make your hair blonde. Your best bet would be getting it dyed professionally. This is only going to lighten it a shade or two, it's not going to change the color of your hair.
