Good foundations?

So I have dry skin and get breakouts sometimes. I want a foundation that will look natural and not cake up, with a medium- full coverage, something I could wear to school or a night out. I don't want it to have a dewy finish because I don't want to seem oily. Also hoping for one that will last along time on my face without creasing or clinging to dry patches. I have any price range. Any suggestions?

I definitely don't have the problems Jacqueline does on the NARS all day luminous weightless foundation and I have combo skin.
everyone's skin is different so just get a sample and try it for yourself.

Oh and I actually wore this foundation for more than 24 hours (I went on two planes) and my foundation stayed.
still looked amazing and I used the smashbox photo finish primer.

Thanks for all the information Jacqueline! I'm actually kind of interested in this mac foundation you speak of! how do you like to apply it?
I also have very dry skin and there are two foundations I quite like. The first one is NARS sheer glow I really like how natural this foundation looked on my skin this foundation has a satin finish and it is very buildable. My skin did not feel dry at all.

the second foundation I really like is RCMA color process foundation this foundation looks gorgeous and so natural on the skin. If I had to pick between RCMA and NARS I think I would go with RCMA. I love how buildable the coverage is and the great thing is it doesn't look cakey as you build. The price is also really great.

Kristen that pro matte is nice I thought it was really similar to Nars sheer matte which is a huge plus in my book. :)

My personal favourites are L'Oreal True Match, Rimmel Wake Me Up and MAC Studio Fix. The Rimmel one gives a lovely natural glow, it's very light and natural looking but also gives a nice sheen to the skin without clinging to dry patches. I have dry, sensitive skin, for reference.
