Can anyone tell me if Amazon is safe or reliable to buy makeup from? I've heard of a couple of people who have brought makeup of Amazon but not sure if I should trust it? Is there any other reliable websites that are good for buying affordable products?

Amazon is not a makeup store necessarily so you have to keep that in mind - anybody can sell stuff on Amazon so you could get knock offs very readily if you aren't careful but if you don't mind that then you should be fine - otherwise just be aware of the company/seller name when you buy from Amazon - if it's not "sold by Amazon" then it could be knock off.

Hi Sophie I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon Prime but I do have to be careful with buying makeup. Amazon prime protects you with the A to Z guarantee, some other sellers might have the protection, but I would advise not to buy anything that isn't protected by it.

I wouldny because you don't know what's used in the makeup. The only circumstance that I would buy from Amazon is if it's an actual popular company that happens to sell on amazon.

There are a few brick n mortars that have Amazon shops. Aveyou is one and I order from them often for my natural hair care products. As far as makeup goes I would follow the advice of the beauties above and just tread very carefully (Aveyou does sell cosmetics and are legit).

I buy all the time on Amazon Prime. That said, you have no idea how fresh the items you buy are. I still do it occasionally. I used to buy a makeup remover from France on Amazon, and the bottle always arrived broken. I don't order that any more. I ordered some lipgloss that was discontinued, and it came to me, but it was old, as the formula was not currently being made - my bad. I prefer to buy from Sephora or a department store - it's still returnable.

I have an amazon prime membership & only buy prime products. I love amazon I've bought so many different things from there & never had issues but I haven't bought makeup. I buy my essential oils& some products for body & face and it's always been legit. I have a friend who's ordered makeup from amazon quite a few times, with no issues but pretty sure they were all prime products.
