I'm looking for a powder foundation but I'm not quite sure which to buy. I'd like them to be able to last through a school day, even if I have gym! Also, I would prefer them to be a pressed powder rather than loose. Sorry for the pickiness! Thank you so much for the help!

I only have one powder that lasts me almost all day including gym. But it is a loose powder😔 it's called mary Kay mineral powder foundation. It works very well.

Are you wanting a pressed "setting" powder (what you would put over a liquid foundation to help it last all day) OR are you wanting a pressed powder foundation (what you would wear alone)? What is your skin type and price range?

The lançome dual finish versatile powder makeup is the best powder I've ever tried! it's pressed, it can be used as either a setting powder or a foundation & it's honestly great as both! it doesn't look cakey when you use it to set but it provides a light natural coverage to look good on its own 😊

Lisa, I'm looking for a pressed powder I'd wear alone. My skin type is most definitely oily (one of the reasons I want a powder foundation) and is semi-acne prone. My price range is $40 and below.

Well I have dry skin and I like loose powders, so I'm not for sure so I filtered the settings on powder foundations on Sephora for oily skin types and I would try UD Naked, Makeup Forever Duo Mat,Too Faced Cocoa Powder, Cover Fx Pressed Mineral, and Kat Von D Lock It Powder. Now like I said I haven't tried those but those all had good reviews for oily skin types. If possible I would try to go Sephora and try some out. Personally I have never had much luck with drugstore powders eapecially since you are looking for coverage instead of a setting powder (the only one I like is L'Oreal but I use for setting powder). I know you said you don't want a loose powder but as far as coverage goes, I think loose is great for coverage and I think its good for acne because its more breathable. I really like Tarte, Bare Minerals, and Merle Norman for loose powders...

The two powder foundations I like are the Matte bare mineral foundation, they have the one where you twist it and it's more travel friendly.
I don't like the pressed version.
One that is a pressed powder I like idols the MAC Studio Fix. It' comes in a good amount of colors and even though it's a pressed powder it doesn't go on patchy and doesn't look super powdery like some other ones I've tried

^ I agree with Aurora on the loose Bare Minerals being travel friendly too...

I agree with Laura D. I have the same powder and it's so smooth and it stays for a while and it's just a great product overall! Highly recommended.
