I did it once! It totally washed out andade my hair soft. The only down part is having to smell mayo on your head for however long you keep it on.

I've tried it, but it stinks really bad and I won't do it again. I personally don't like DIY hair masks that much. If your looking for one to try, I've used egg and olive oil before.

It wasn't as bad as the mayo, but I don't feel like it gave an good of results as my store bought one.

Mayo mostly consists of egg yolks and oil,,, but the ones you buy in the store could have ingredients your don't agree with ,,would be better to make own organic mayo at home ,,,for hair mask purposes? Its extremely easy!

A diy hair mask that I have tried and absolutely love is yogurt. Try to find the one with the highest possible fat content and let it sit on your hair for half an hour to an hour, then wash out.
