How do I stop my hair from being oily? I'm so sick of it, not even 2 hrs after I shower my hair starts to become oily. does anyone else have this issue?

Hi Fatima, how often do you wash your hair and what products do you use? Sometimes an overproduction of oil can be caused by over washing the hair or products that strip your hair from its natural oils!
I wash my hair every 3. day and I use a Dove shampoo that matches my hair type. Then on days where I don't wash my hair I use a dry shampoo! I tell you it's a lifesaver!! I use the original Batiste dry shampoo and it makes my hair feel light and clean and it brings a little volume to it as well :)

Fatima, in this case, it's most likely the fact that you put conditioner on your scalp and you don't completely wash it out. I recommend not putting conditioner on your scalp or anywhere on top of your head. Make sure you get it all out once you're done conditioning your hair.

Omg I have a cure for you:) I am not home right now but am going home later today and I will take a picture of it and tell you the name. I use it and it works sooooooo well. for a couple months you just use it and no conditioner. and then after those months, you can start to add conditioner back, little by little. but onlly use conditioner on the tips of your hair.

Don't put conditioner on the top half of your head - ends only. Make sure you wash ALL products (shampoo, conditioner) out after each use. Use a shampoo/conditioner for oily hair - I love Herbal Essences. Also, you can just stop using conditioner altogether, it does make your hair pretty tuggy and hard to brush after you come out the shower but it does help with the oil. I do and have done all those things and now my hair is rarely oily. Also, don't wash your hair too often, every 2 days should be the minimum.

Omg thank you all sooo much!
yes I only out conditioner on the ends of my hair, I also wash every 2-3 days.
I'm currently using argon/morrocan oil shampoo and condinter due to doing brazilian keretin on my hair. I'm not 100% sure the oiliness is from the shampoo. but I will take your ideas on board. thanks heaps ladies. xo

I have had super oily hair since I was a teenager, and I would say it may be the type of shampoo you're using. I steer clear of any shampoo that's made to specifically to moisturize. I definitely agree that you should try a dry shampoo. I've used the Bastiste brand for about a year and am now branching out to try other brands. So far Batiste has been the best, but I've found that if I don't spray it carefully, I will end up with powdery patches. Two great shampoos to help with oiliness are Nuetrogena's T-Gel shampoo (made for dandruff and psoriasis) and their Anti Residue shampoo. Both are really drying, but sometimes that's what I need.
