Has anyone ever tried fabric softner for hair conditioner? My sis recommended it to me as a once a month thing ,,,cause it can buildup pretty quick,, but I'm.not.ro sure about it ,, any comments?

Uhh I agree with Riff I wouldnt try that! I would stick to things that is developed for your hair!

Oh no!! Like the other beauties above mentioned don't go for it. Its definitely not developed for hair as it contains sulfates and other nasty stuff that is too harsh for hair and scalp. I don't even use liquid fabric softner for my clothes...I break out with nasty welts.

I think she may be confusing this DIY trick? You can use hair conditioner as fabric softener, not the other way around. I used to do this exclusively (mixing it with boiling water and a bit of bar laundry detergent) but I definitely wouldn't do it the other way around!
