Hi everybody! so I don't know if there is already a chat on this topic, but I'm new at using eyeliner and I'm not sure if I should use brown or black eyeliner. I have lighter brown hair and eyebrows but blackish eyelashes and they I use a black mascara. also, any recommendations on wether I should use gel, liquid, or pencil eyeliner and any good ones? thanks everybody in advance :)

Pencil eyeliner in my opinion is the easiest to start out with. But any kind of eyeliner takes a little bit of getting used to. Check out some videos on YouTube! They are really helpful for showing you how to apply it! :)

Using black or brown is all your preference, black gives a more dramatic appearance where as brown is a tiny bit more subtle, I switch it up. And I recommend gel for a beginner, but test each kind out!

I don't really think the colors matter (according to the options you have), but pencil is great for beginners. If that doesn't work, I used a small concealer brush (from ELF) and brushed it against the eyeliner and that is a lot easier for me :)

Personally, I love felt tip liners! then goes gel, and finally, pencil. I don't really like complete liquid liners, I feel like I have less control over those. as sadie said, it depends on what you want. for more drama, use black. for a nice, subtle look, use brown. a little tip for gel liners, make sure you start small! this is the same for all liners, but I feel like this applies to gel liners more. use small strokes, and then you can go over them to make it bigger. have fun!

I am in love with NYX eyeliner that's a waterproof liquid pen in carbon black. I got it from Target! It's awesome and super easy to apply. Great for beginners!!

If you were black mascara you should use black eyeliner. My favorite is maybellines gel eye liner it's so creamy and last forever it's affordable too😊
