My hair is always oily in the morning. Even when I wash it the night before and sleep with it up in a bun. Any tips on what I can do? I know I can use dry shampoo but that sometimes leaves my hair feeling "chalky"

Oh I know that feel. Too much dry shampoo and I don't even want to touch my hair... Have you tried changing up your shampoo? When I use the same one for too long my hair gets super greasy no matter how often I wash. Try switching to a different brand for a while, that always helps me!

I agree with Melanie.

I also use Batiste dry shampoo and really enjoy it! If your hair gets oily in the morning, you can always put a crap ton of dry shampoo in it before going to bed. Get it all chalky, sleep on it, and then brush it out in the morning. I find it works a lot better than just spraying it on in the morning. Just something to try, I guess!

How often do you wash your hair? The more often you wash, the more you strip the hair of natural oils so your body thinks you need more so it produces it faster. Try and wash your hair as little as possible. I only wash mine twice a week, and the days I use dry shampoo I usually put it up so I don't have to feel how gross the product is in my hair

You have to train your hair to be washed once to twice a week only. If you apply sulfates to your hair everyday and strip the scalp oils, the scalp will just produce more to compensate. I suggest you go sulfate free and wash the hair less.

Try conditioning before you shampoo.

I have very oily hair and I just wash it every night with shampoo and I don't use conditioner because that puts moisture into your hair and makes it look greasy and I've only tried a couple dry shampoos but they don't take the grease out on my hair and it just goes crunchy and hard, you can also wash your hair in the morning and blow dry it when you can, hope this helps😊
