Hi! One of the things I like to do is to take care of myself: sleep 8 hrs, drink enough water, eat healthy, make some exercise... Attitude is the key, try to feel positive and calmed,

Glad you are on a path to wellness. I find walking my dogs and yoga help me clear my mind while lifting my spirits. Added bonus is body strength and flexibility...and I feel a surge of confidence. Endorphins from exercise elevate mood naturally. Prayer, music, movies, fuzzy blankets, reading, and tea are other avenues for lifting my spirits.
Water is healing and so a shower or bath with pampering is glorious. A favorite scent or scrub...lotion from head to toe..blowing out my hair until it is slightly damp and then putting up in a bun with a silky, non-binding holder means lovely, soft waves the next day. I always try to have something to look forward to, even tiny things like a day of heatless waves, painting my toenails, a manicure, gathering ingredients to make a healthy, yet delicious meal, the coffee or tea I stop to have on a walk...curling i0 in bed with a game of Mahjongg on my laptop on a crisp evening or planning a lunch, lady date with a family membe or friend (even if a month in advance) helps keep positive focus. I write it all on a big calendar and draw a line through each day until I have something small, but special planned. Outlets such as this community or browsing art on tumblr can change my mindset. I try to find the good in even the most difficult situations and often remind myself of what I have to be grateful for in this world where others face struggles, yet overcome. Be inspired by others who have faced painful life journeys and came out not only ahead, but with a stronger spirit. I sometimes take breaks from the news or social media where emotions and politics are 24/7 for some. It is important to stay informed, but equally crucial that you recognize key stress triggers and so I dabble in these areas in small doses, unless something is of particular importance or interest to me.
Focusing on helping others pulls me out of getting caught up in myself so gather dry/canned goods for a local church food pantry, clothes for a battered women's shelter/veterans, make soup for a sick neighbor, take a neighbors dog for a round in the park..help an elderly neighbor with their leaves...any act of kindness that helps makes a positive difference in someone else's life.
Lastly, aside from putting in red lipstick (immediate perk) I always put coins aside from a special dream..such as a trip..little by little saving for something special. When I'm working toward making a dream a reality, then that's progress..so get a passport and create a dream destination jar or maybe you have a dress you need to save up for and plan a fantastical evening around it...that car you always wanted...or art class you wanted to take..whatever. Just keep looking forward and focus your mind, body and spirit on better days ahead. This too shall pass.
All my best..

One thing that always makes me feel happy is getting out of the house every day! Please pleeease do it :) explore the closest natural area, go for a long bike ride or walk :) I also really enjoy playing a board game with my friends or family... Also cleaning the house clears your mind too!
And everything Rozberry said helps me greatly too, I don't want to repeat what she already said too much ^_^

Thank you so much, Talei and Breeze. I struggle as well; many of us do, but channeling that energy and perspective helps. I often think of "Mama's Misery Dinner" when things are rough. Leo Buscaglia had a profound impact on me as a child...and still does. Take 5 minutes to watch this and you will be sure to smile...and remember it
It is inspiring, funny...beautiful. Hope you all enjoy.

Those are awesome tips everyone.. Another thing I like to do is just on a lazy moment is to watch old movies I like and kind of like get lost in the movie. I started doing yoga more often and I am starting to notice a difference.

Congrats, on your path to wellness, just wanting to let you know that you are not alone and you are loved and deserving of love, one thing I love to do is like a bath ritual, I get some lovely smelling bath bombs from lush and use some bubble bath from like bath and body works, my favorite scented candles and play some music or I love the comedy section on pandora and I use some body scubs and face masks and it really helps lift my mood.💌
