I want to get my hair done burgundy or red and I don't really have enough money to get it done at a high emd salom, I was wondering if anyone has ever been to empire beauty school to get their hair dyed? I don't know if its a good idea or not.

If you're getting a solid colour (not highlights or ombre) then going to a beauty school would be fine. The students are supervised and there will be teachers and stuff on hand to make sure everything's going as it should.

I've had really bad experiences with going to beauty schools to get my hair cut and colored. just make sure you're doing something basic (:

Ask for a more advanced student and maybe consult with the instructor as well I'm sure they'll match you up with someone who's able to do it.

There's no definitive answer to this question.. you could end up leaving with it looking horrible, but that could happen at any salon as well. It's really a risk but so is switching hairstylists in general. When I was in school for esthetics I saw some girls get their hair done and it looked soo bad, but there were some people there that were amazing. it really just depends on the schools instructors & student you end up with. The esthetics instructors were great at my school but the cosmetology instructors weren't in my opinion or they wouldn't let those clients walk out like how I saw. Like I said though, some cos students were amazing.
