Liquids personally. Gels dry up fast so I use the ELF Studio Gel Liner because it's only 3 dollars! I've gone through a few of those. As for liquid liners, the best liquid liners I've EVER tried were surprisingly drugstore!! Loreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense (felt or brush tip) and the NYC liquid liner. (Just the regular one NOT the HD one.. It had like NO pigmentation and was more expensive) -.-
Hope this helps! Xo

This one is a toughy! I love the liquid liner I have from Maybelline, it gives a very defined line but it is super easy to mess up. I recently bought gel liner and find it is easier to build and hide my mistakes, as someone else said- more control!

If you are looking to have a dramatic eye I would go gel...if your looking for more natural but still noticeable I would do liquid

I love liquid, you can build it up for a natural look or a dramatic look. Also gel liners tend to get streaky and dry making it hard to find a good one.

I like using a gel liner for the waterline to intense the eye color and to make the eyes pop out more and a liquid for the top

I like gel because you get the same intensity of liquid without the super stark hard line.

Love gel though, helps a lot!

I love liquid liner for my upper lash line only because it glides in easier (at least for me) but for my water line I prefer a gel liner

I like both depending on what type of look I'm going for. Gel is easier to get a more full on glamourise look :) x
