I have been wanting to grow my hair faster and I have a friend who told me to braid my hair every night before bed. Does hair really grow faster when braided I mean. Is it best to have your hair up in a braid during the day and before you go to bed?

No I don't think it would, it just keeps your hair neat.

Absolutely zero chance this does anything. If you have the braid really tight all the time it might damage your hair instead.

My aunt is a very skilled and trained hair styler/ professional and yes she said it was indeed true.

Nothing makes hair grow faster. Hair growth is determined by genetics. Although braiding your hair before bed could help prevent split age

No...however braiding the hairs helpsprevebt split ends depending on the hairtye you use. just make sure it isn't TOO tight..

No tbh it doesn't your hair will bevome more dry and will become more frizzy if its in a plait all the time with hair ties or hair elastics

I agree with Olivia. Hair growth is 100% based off genetics. I like to braid my hair overnight because it helps prevent split ends which can lead to not having to cut your hair as often which in that sense, allows you to have longer hair, but just the simple statement "putting your hair in braids will promote hair growth" is false. It's not bad to do and I do find it keeps my hair neater and less frizzy. Do make sure the elastics and braid aren't too fight because that will damage the hair.

You can always grow your hair by taking care of it!

It will help protect your hair when you sleep so it won't get all tangled up and such but it doesn't actually make it grow faster.

It works for me... if you want to grow your hair faster you should braid for whole day and leave them free at night...if you don't want to braid your hair whole day...then braid your hair only in night.. trust me it works...and yes don't tie them so tight
