Purple hair, Help/Advice!

If you dye blonde hair to a dark purple, when it begins to fade what color does it fade to? One time I had fushia and it faded to orange. I have dark purple and I've been maintaining it so I never see it fade. If I let it fade will it fade to like a light purple/silver color or will it be something else? My blonde was not yellow toned/brassy underneath before I died it. Just wondering what it would look like if I let it fade, because I don't want to risk damaging my hair trying to strip it or bleach it back.

Side note: I would be fine with silver/light purple hair :)

My friends turned light purple then kinda gray, but it was really cute.

For me, it goes magenta, lavender, gray, then cool toned blonde. I naturally have dark brown hair, I went completely blonde underneath the purple.
