My attempt at a purple smokey eye! I'm not the best at smokey eyes and I know I'm not but I wanted to do a dramatic eye to have an excuse to try out my new lip color as a proper nude lip, lol. Constructive criticism always appreciated!

Face:
-MAC Strobe Cream
-Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation in Light 48
-NYX HD Concealer in Light
-Kat Von D Shade + Light Palette
-MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul
-NYX Illuminator in Ritualistic

Brows:
-IT Cosmetics Brow Power
-Chella Defining Brow Gel

Eyes:
-Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer
-Lorac Pro Palette (Taupe, Mauve, Deep Purple, Cream)
-Tarte Lights Camera Splashes

Lips:
- Laura Mercier Creme Smooth Lip Color in Milky Way

I applied the strobe cream on the tops of my cheeks, down my nose, and the Cupid's bow with my fingers. I applied and blended my foundation with the RT Expert Face Brush. I applied my concealer under my eyes in a triangle, the center of the forehead, down the nose, the Cupid's bow, and the chin and blended it all in with the RT Miracle Complexion Sponge. I set under my eyes with Lyric and the rest of my concealer with Lucid. I contoured my cheekbones, chin, and jawline with the RT Contour Brush and the sides of my nose with a MAC 217 using the shade Sombre. I applied my blush to my cheeks with the ELF Bronzing Brush. I highlighted the top of my cheeks, down the nose, and the Cupid's bow with the RT Fan Brush.

I lightly filled in my brows with the pencil and set them with the brow gel.

I applied my eye primer from lash line to brow with my finger. I applied Taupe above the crease with the ELF Blending Eye Brush. Using the same brush I applied Mauve into the crease. I applied Deep Purple all over the lid with the RT Base Shadow Brush and under the eye with the ELF Blending Eye Brush. I highlighted under the brow and in the inner corner with Cream on the ELF Defining Eye Brush. I applied one coat of mascara on the bottom and two on the top.

I applied my lip color straight from the tube.

I like the undereye! I think you could've taken the outer v color a little more into the crease because it looks like it just kinda stops halfway! Maybe if you a transition shade with orangeish undertones it could've helped with blending :-)

Thanks, Julie! I'm confused as to why I would use an orange shade to blend, could you explain? (:

Love the smoky eye, and lip color! I think Julie is just saying to use a warm color for your transition color (crease), but I do understand you're going for a cool toned look. I've been into cool toned eye look lately for the fall. I think you did great! I wanna share my favorite blending brush though it's amazing. It's by IT cosmetics called it brush for ultra number 105 and it's so soft and makes blending life so easy!!

Ooooh I'm loving that lip color, it's so perfect for fall! And to build on what Julie and Livi said, I don't think it's so much that you should change your transition color, but maybe bring your lid color further into your crease shade. I think they all blend really nicely together though! I do this exact same smoky eye all the time lol lorac is the best for that, blending is so easy with it!

It's weird seeing you with a nude lip when you usually wear such bold colors!!
I love that shade on you though
You look amazing :)

Agree with everyone! Livi nailed what I meant haha And I typically find if you're doing a blue/purple/grey eye it sometimes can be nice to use a warmer transition in order to avoid looking like you have a black eye(not that you look like you do!) I just find it helps me blend everything together. So not necessarily an orange but just any shade with a bit of warmth. Even like a light chocolate brown! But it all depends on what look you're going for!
