I kinda gave up on my hair so I bleached it again from an already damaged stage so I can put purple on top. Its dumb but now its extremely dry, frizzy, tangly with minimal breakage. Its not elasticy when its wet though but it actually gets super stiff and hard and impossible to comb through. Anyone know why this is happening? I heard of hair going mushy when wet but not hard.
Also, I don't have any good deep conditioners or leave ins so what do you recommend me? I have extremely dry and damaged hair.
And has anyone tried the Queen Helene Cholesterol hair mask? I saw some reviews online saying it was good but I wanted to know what your thoughts were on it. :) Thank you

It's probably just stiff bc it's so dry. I would trim it and just give it a break from any heat if you do use heat. Also if you don't have one I would get a wet brush. I had so much trouble brushing my hair before I had one. Conditioners I'm not sure though bc I'm still trying to find a good one myself :)

Keratin worked magic for me, TRESemmé has a keratin shampoo and conditioner that's really good

Yeah you definitely need keratin and protein treatments. Aphogee has a good line of stuff which I use.
Also try hot oil treatments; coconut, jojoba or aragon are good.
it will be a long process but you can do it. good luck!

For conditioners I would try the macadamia mask and try the ion mask samples at sallys😋 and if you go to ulta go to the hair mask section and get all the samples they work great.💇🏼

I agree with Sami!
I use the TRESemme keratin shampoo and conditioner (I bleached the Jesus outta my hair and it did the same thing) but it works lovely!
But still get a trim and maybe a repair serum or something like that. I used TRESemmes (can't remember but it's in a red and white tub and looks like moisturiser) juts rub on the ends of your hair, leave for a while (or add it to your hair about an hour before having a hair-cleaning shower) and then wash out.
I found it helped within a week of making my hair look better :)

I used to dye my hair a lot and before I went natural I dyed my tips teal. Now since my hair is dark brown I bleached it and my hair got like yours.. And there was no way I was going to cut it , so I quit straightening my hair as much and when I absolutely had to I used a heat protectant... Also I got a leave in conditioner and some hair oil by herbal essence that I only put in my tips... Hope that helps...
