Proper way to use purple shampoo?

I've used my purple shampoo a few times but I don't notice a difference and I don't know why it's not working😔

What did you expect it to do? A purple shampoo is used like any other shampoo just to wash your hair, the purple tint will then make your hair look like a cooler tone of blond.
And will help your hair to not get as much of a yellow tint as blond hair at times can get.

Salon grade shampoos seem to give me better results. When applied, leave it on the hair while you tend to other things in the shower. Occasionally, I apply it to dry hair and leave it for a bit, which gives a nice ash with violet tones. It is also cumulative..toning as time progresses.

I would watch Elle Bangs video "How To Do The Perfect Toning Shampoo Treatment on blonde hair". She talks about how to get the most out of purple shampoo.
