Hi BL!
I'm having a hard time choosing a box dye dark enough to match my roots so I can go back to my natural hair color. My hair is almost black, like the darkest brown.
I don't know what shade I would need to go over the ends of my hair and keep my roots natural since I have over an inch of growth and I want to keep my grey hairs.
Also, I would like the dye to be as natural as possible- I'm not sure if I can use any kind of henna since I have lightened my hair (risk of getting green hair if there are metal salts in there) but if you know of a good 100% henna brand that is not pitch black that would be great too!
I've read that a "soft black" shade will look super black for a few weeks before fading a bit... I'm lost!
Thank you for your advice!

Maybe you could try a soft black or natural darkest brown without ammonia in the dye, like a demi permanent one because with henna it can indeed turn green but also when you don't like it it's (almost) impossible to get out

Yeah that's true, I didn't consider that, Carien. Thank you! I'll check out natural darkest brown, it seems like a good description of my hair!

You can try the biogen brand (I think that's what it's called) it's an an orange box and you can get it at walmart and it's like a powder and you mix it with water (sorta like a henna) and I've used it on bleached hair and never had a problem. you'll want to get a medium brown though because dark brown in a black color.

Thank you so much Justine! I'll check it out for sure! I'm sick of seeing copper in my hair... :)
