It does this to me as well, I prefer Revlon Colorstay.. In the lightest shades, they're way too pink for my liking and they oxidize worse than the darker shades I believe. I don't think going a couple shades lighter would really make a difference, because it's still going to look yellow on the skin.

I like Revlon ColorStay, but having a pump and a foundation that doesn't dry as quick is so wonderful! I did not use powder and thought that may help.

I had this problem when I repurchased it after a couple years, I went down a shade and it's a perfect fit!
