Is it really recommend that you change your brushes every 3 months?

Is it necessary? *

I don't always change mine every 3 months... As long as I clean it often and it doesn't look bad, I'll sometimes wait a little longer. I actually put mine in the dishwasher every so often to really disinfect it.

I'd say it's not necessary but it's a good idea. The Clarisonic collects bacteria so eventually (even if you clean it) you'll just be spreading the bacteria around your face. That being said if you clean it often and well enough you could probably make it last about a month more or so before you notice any bad effects.

Also I know that brush heads can get pricey, but I found a deal on living social where you can get 2 of any kind for $10 or $15 (sorry I can't remember which)

I was literally about to ask this last night but forgot. I found cheap brushes for my face brush on amazon and they were genuine. I'm not sure if they would have genuine clarisonic ones but may be worth a look.

Its a good idea to spend on a brush every 3 months than to suffer breakouts coz saving the extra buck.
