Has anyone ever had dyshidrotic eczema, how did you get rid of it?
It's a type of eczema where your hands & feet get blisters due to too much water exposer, stress or allergies. I've had it for about 2-3 months now, it started when I was sailing. It went away when I was camping last week but now it's back again and even worse. Moisturizer only helps for short periods of time then it comes back. If you've experienced this please let me know how you got it to go away. Is it time to see a dermatologist?

Honestly I would just go to the dermatologist! they could probably help you out loads. I've also heard dream cream by lush helps so much with eczema, but I'm not entirely sure if it would work with your kind! good luck!

I've suffered with this dreadful form of dermatitis & have recently been clear. I'm about to take a client so I'll get back to this later on tonight and hopefully I can help you. I just wanted to respond so I can get back to it and I had a very severe case as time went on and it really was so horrible so I feel your pain!

My mum, boyfriend and two of my friends suffer from severe eczema, they've found that E45 cream, aqueos cream and hydrocortisone creams work really well. However, if you can, a dermatologist or a doctor may be your best bet as they can prescribed stuff personal to your condition.
When my mums eczema got really bad, she was on injections which fed her skin with cortisone as her body was not producing enough. This helped her hugely and was something that wasn't available on the market to everyone, as she was given them by her doctor. If you think a doctor or derm will help, I'd say go for it :) however, don't be disheartened if you don't see immediate results, as many treatments can take weeks or months to work.

I've had atopic eczema and dyshidrotic eczema, & they're NOTHING like each other for treatments and how it feels. Not one product that was advertised for eczema or diy to help eczema worked for my dyshidrosis. A product by first aid beauty helped with the dry cracking stage, but not enough. I thought it did at the time until I remembered what it was like to have normal hands again lol. in short, absolutely go to a dermatologist. I didnt, and I ended up getting it infected with staph infection, which if you don't know about staph, Google it.. it's not fun! I went to many dermatologists before the one I ended up with now and nothing worked & they never tested it for staph either. My friend had the same issue, and she couldn't afford to keep going to different derm appointments so I told her to go one more time and ask for the treatment I was on & she did and hers is completely cleared up and so is mine. it can always come back, but I had it for about a year and a half with it getting worse and worse and the longest I went without any outbreaks was only a few days (even then my hands didn't look or feel normal) and I've now been cleared of it for about 5 weeks now! I definitely suggest doing what my friend did and go to a Dr and specifically ask for these products, because like I said I went about 10 different times with nothing working at all & so did my friend and this treatment worked for both of us.
*Ask to be checked for staph, yours doesn't look like it's infected, mine was a lot more red but definitely check just in case all they do is swab the areas.
*Ask for a steroid cream, this is up to you. I know some people want to avoid steroids, & so did I the first 2 to 3 visits but it's what cleared up the dyshidrosis and the other products I believe just helped keep it away. I only used it for about 2-3 days and I immediately noticed a change then went on to using my prescription creams only.

Clobestol propionate is the steroid cream
*triamcinolone acetonide. I was prescribed the ointment and cream. ointment was at night and cream during the day
* I was given a pamphlet for a medical company for gloves. I bought dermal cotton gloves for at night they're only 1.80$ a pair and I wear them every night after applying the ointment. this was a huge help because I was scratching a lot in my sleep my bf said and doing this can make you susceptible to staph. I also ordered powder free vinyl gloves because I'm an Esthetician.

Sorry it's a lot but I know the struggle and I really hope this helps you! Of course all this is by prescription only so you have to go see a derm but if you request these products it'll save you time and money of others not working. As I'm sure you know skin diseases can be difficult to treat so this may not work for you but hopefully it will!

Thanks everyone! Thank you Sarah! I think I'll take your advice on going to the dermatologist and researching those medications. I just have to convince my mom, because my brother also had dyshidrotic eczema but he got rid of it just by using lotion, so she thinks that's all it takes, but now looking back I've had it since January (7 months). Also do you know if it spreads? Because on all the websites it says it's not contagious but I have a bad habit of popping/scratching them and it seems to be getting worse plus then its more susceptible to staph.
