So I thought I'd share this DIY I found on Pinterest that cleans makeup brushes. You basically get a hard plastic surface and a glue gun and glue different dots & lines on it. It works sooo well and costs nearly nothing compared to the $40 gloves or mats.

I'm with Sara, I don't understand how this cleans brushes exactly. I know there's a DIY brush cleaner where you wash them with baby or gentle shampoo. I use it all the time and it not only cleans them, it makes them so soft. It's as if they're new! But how does this one clean brushes?

I think this is just a grooved surface you would use to work the cleanser into the brushes to give them a deep clean.

The glue works the same way the "grooves" would on the gloves or mats.

Yes. Sorry I should've explained more. But yea the grooves and textures are what get the soap in between the brushes. It cleans very well
