I haven't used the oil control lotion but I have used the blot powder.
It worked decent. I mean I kind of felt like it don't really do a good job personally. I felt that the Studio Fix worked better but the downside was that studio fix was a powder foundation and if I used it as a blot powder it would get cakey.
With the blot powder I would get cakey but I would get oily sooner.
For oily skin I HIGHLY recommend the loose rice powder from Palladio? I think that's the brand, it's available at Sally's I think it's around 5-6 dollars
It works AMAZING
I'd get compliments at how smooth my skin looked and it really helped keep me matte all day.

I second the Palladio rice powder that Aurora recommended! It's goes on so smoothly but can look powdery if you over apply. I also own the Blot Powder and it's great for oil touch ups on the run but the Palladio one is my new favourite.

I have the blotting powder and I like it okay. I tend to use it as my "going out" powder as it does a pretty good job at keeping my oil under control.

Another really great powder, if you can find it, is the Vichy Dermablend powder. It is a loose powder, but it gives a lovely, flawless finish and lasts really well.

The Dermablend powder is easily one of my favourites, it just fixes my makeup nicely without looking cakey, it's similar to a hd powder. Definitely give it a try :)
