I've been looking to buy a beautyblender, but the price is really staggering compared to other makeup sponges like the Real Techniques one for $5. Should I splurge on the beautyblender or just get the Real Techniques one? I'm not an avid foundation wearer and I mostly just need a good sponge for blending out concealer. All help is appreciated.

I agree with Livi, I also have both, but I never end up using them because I hate that you have to clean them after every use (lazy I know smh) so I just use a stippling brush, or my fingers and I usually get a similar out come depending on the foundation. I only really use mine on special occasions :)

The beauty lender lasts a longer period of time than the real techniques sponge, but you can easily repurchase it because it's only $5.

The beauty blender will last longer also the beauty blender will give you a flawless finish. Nothing has beat the beauty blender so far in my point of view. I have tried the RT blender but it just didn't compare to my beauty blender. hopefully I helped

I love my beauty blender. I thought it was so over rated and finally splurged and I don't know what I did before I had it. I use it everyday.

I haven't tried either, but I do have an off brand. I agree with Sadie. I hate having to clean and wet the sponge before and after every use. It just becomes a pain. I now just blend my foundation in with my fingers, but a lot of foundations are hard to blend in with my fingers in my experience. Luckily, my favorite (bb cream) allows me to blend it into my skin with my fingers and get a flawless finish better than any brush or beauty blender has ever given me. Honestly, it's all your preference. I would much rather spend more on the makeup than the applicators itself, but lots disagree with that.

I haven tried the beauty blender, but I have tried the real techniques one, and didn't last long at all! I cleaned it every other day, but now it's so dens and won't expand :( I had for about 2-3 weeks before this happened. I have heard about the still one, it's all black and a different shape than the real techniques, maybe that is better... I think I might try it out. I think it's 12 dollars so a bit better than the beauty blender (price wise)
