Hey Molly! ok so first off you and I have extremely similar eye shapes so I hope what I have to share is helpful for you! So what I usually do for my eyeliner (and a technique I found is great to make my eyes seem larger and more expressive) is something I call "kitten liner" (lol). It's not quite a full on cat liner since I don't quite like the elongated effect it gives my eyes. Instead, while looking down in my mirror so that I can see my entire lid, I trace along the top lashline first then extend the line outward. Thus when I look up the line is curved very nicely with the corner of my eye and ends in a little a lightly upturned flick (sometimes I opt for the flick to be going straight out instead of upturned). Then I take a pencil liner and softly line the outer 1/3 of my lower lashline including a little bit of my waterline (not the whole waterline) and blend the pencil with some shadow. I included some pics below so you can see what I'm talking about. Hopefully this helps!
