So I went and got my hair done ombré obviously and I like it although in some parts it looks like a green ish not blonde is there anything I could do myself and fix it? You want really tell in the picture but I can see it and I've had people tell me it looks kind of green.

Its kinda difficult to tell in the picture but try using a purple shampoo, I use Shimmer Lights (you can get it at Sally's). Its not for everyday use but it will help tone it up, it says to leave in for 5 minutes or something but I leave mine on probably for about 10 minutes and rinse then use the conditioner that goes with it for a couple of minutes too. Just from the picture, it doesn't exactly look like an ombré, I would probably go get it fixed because a purple will only do so much...

That's not a problem at all its the toner that was used especially for blonde, give it a few days it'll go away lol.

By adding more toner it'll just get more green & damage your hair.

Alright I already did have some blonde highlights would that be why it's that color?

Yes it's just a process of toning out the colors to become into one shade of color, you can even go to Sally's an ask. I had the same problem before till it was explained by my hair stylist :)

I wonder if it is the toner. I'd try ketchup massaged in well and put under a plastic bag for half an hour...then wash out. The red should cancel the green if it is toner..until it fades out.

If you have a clarifying shampoo...use that to wash it out..inspecting your hair after the first wash. You may need two washes with clarifying shampoo...but your hair will be dry if you use a clarifier, so give it a great conditioning and use a leave - in afterward. If you don't have clarifying shampoo...any cheap shampoo will help. It will continue to rinse out. You shouldn't have to deal with that when you paid a salin, but I've had it in the past and that will hopefully work for you.

In 6 years, my own personal stylist has never..not once.,.. incorrectly colored or toned my hair. Proper color processing, toner selection, hair condition, mixing, timing.. these should all be closely watched and although mistakes can occur, they are often accepted as the norm. ...something we, the customer, needs to ride out. Well I wash my hair only once every 7-10 days so "Oh, it will rinse out over time" is a LONGGGG time for me and I don't pay to have to ride things out. I work far too hard for my money.
Toners especially have a margin for error, but errors should be minimal among experienced colorists and always rectified at a salon.

When my stylist was traveling, I learned that toning is a skill that many stylists either lack or will disregard routine error as "part of doing hair". For what hair color costs, they need to watch watch watch...and fix if they screw up. Isela....let us know if you got the green out. It may go brassy once the green is out, but that's another step, and so let us address one step at a time.

Since your color is new, you can always return to the salon and request a master colorist to address your hair concerns. I agree with Hailey....and feel this wasn't just toner, but hair that was not lifted enough in conjunction with toning that resulted in your green tinges. I am not a colorist, but I have one of the best in the biz and so I honestly feel like when she's away...I freak out because it is SO hard to find a great colorist. Thank God, I have talented back up friends, but when they are also traveling for work....I feel so frustrated.

Not to rant, but it just seems like many salons are comfortable sending you out the door when it is clear you are unhappy. Often, the color mishaps occur after you have done your own shampoo or see your hair in another light outside of the salon, but I feel the salon should/would want to know about it. It is fair to give them another shot, IF they are kind and professional...and aren't looking for more cash to rectify a situation.

The ladies are correct though. Never put purple shampoo on green tones....your ends will grab it and you'll go muddy. Purple Shampoo is to cut brassiness and gold..and you may need to address brass tones once you rectify the green, but for now...let's focus on fixing that green. I would let the salon know though......seriously. Just be calm and polite. I hope it did work for you...and don't panic if you are a little gold..that can be fixed.

Woah I didn't see the second pic that definitely has the green, sorry but I wouldn't do the purple shampoo if its green! In the first pic it just kinda brassy. I completely agree with Rozberry though!
