Hi ladies. So, over the past few months, I've been taking every possible motion to repair and strengthen my hair, and it has improved, but it's still pretty broken.
I have not highlighted it for several months. I cut out heat almost completely for about two and a half months. The only time I use heat is when I need to style my side bang, and even then, I use a protectant.
I use shimmer lights shampoo, then immediately follow with a mixture of Aussie 3 minute miracle in moist, Matrix repair conditioner, and Macadamia deep repair masque, and I leave that in for 7-8 minutes.
I only wash my hair about twice a week, and I always end off with a cold rinse. I towel dry my hair and follow with Aquage sea extract silkening oil treatment on my ends. I tried Infusium 23, but it didn't help.
I always moisturize my hair with argan/hemp oil from Marrakesh. I also get consistent trims. My hair is currently on the finer side and likes to separate into unsightly chunks.
Do you ladies know why it's still in such bad shape? How can I fix it? I plan on investing in Olaplex, might that help? Thank you so much.

I know exactly how you feel my hair was damaged for about a year & it took forever to repair it was also frustrating because I have curly hair so growing out or repairing curly hair is 1000 times harder😣BUT I did it I finally have it to a healthy stage & also I do put heat on it once a week but it's still fine. I think using so much products into your hair won't work it'll be fighting you're natural oils which you need if you do plan on doing treatments I suggest treatments that work for your scalp & cut your ends atleast once a month about an inch or inch 1/2 it's a process there's no miracle that will just repair you're hair in a couple of weeks. I was doing the coconut treatment which you can get at Walmart, sprouts, ect ect just make sure you get natural coconut oil. Just remember it's a process it's the only things I did for my hair & now it's getting a lot better & I suggest doing braids at night but not so tight either :)

Thanks so much, Noemy, I really appreciate the advice :) I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be to repair curly hair. You know, I was totally thinking that, too. I'm probably using way too many products, now I just need to figure out what to cut out. I will definitely trim more often and do everything you suggested. Thank you! 😊

If you're hair is extremely damaged you won't be able to repair it. You have cut it off. You can continue putting those products in your hair but it's not going to do anything until you cut all the damage off.

I agree, Justine! The good news here is that it's not extremely damaged, just moderately 😄

Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that! I wish we could all just be stylists and do our own hair at home like pros. Lol I can sooo relate to that comic :)

Ahhh...she comes back in a few weeks. Thank Gawd! Her comics make me laugh, but her hair drama is always relatable.

You may absolutely repair with Olaplex. Olaplex is a bond multiplier that repairs hair on the inside, something that has never existed in the beauty industry before. The real chemistry behind olaplex can repair compromised hair, but you should always follow with your favorite moisture and protein treatments following the use of No3 at home. I would strongly recommend using our salon locator on Olaplex.com and scheduling a stand alone treatment following with a conditioning treatment. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
