So I have very greasy hair and it's pretty embarrassing. I wash my hair every night even thought I know it's bad for my hair, but I can't bare the greasiness. Any tips, tricks, products I can use would be helpful!!

I'm in the same predicament! Everyone just keeps saying "oh dry shampoo!" But I've tried like 6 dry shampoos and nothing helps me. :( following this.

Hey ladies so I get how annoying it is when everyone keeps saying the same thing so I won't even mention dry shampoo or why not to wash it everyday you guy's have already heard it so when I was in my early teens I had the same issue so that may have something to do with it if you guys are still in your teens also I would love to give you guys some different product ideas but I don't wanna say things that you've already tried could you guys tell me the shampoos and condishers that you are using now?

Your hair is being striped of all its natural oil and is over producing to make up for it. just like the face does. try a pony tail on day 2. or a cute messy bun with a headband to hide your roots. this will eliminate the need for dry shampoo or baby powder. your scalp will eventually stop over producing oil and adjust to being washed every other day. I promise ;-)

Dry shampoo works. Also getting the powder that's dry shampoo works even better

Dawn dish soap (bear with me here) works extremely well for getting rid of grease. When I've done hair masks that have turned out to be too heavy and oily, I use Dawn and my hair is back to its voluminous, shiny self. :)

Yeah Kelly is right - your washing too much that's why it's greasy - if you wash less it will be less greasy - I wash mine like 1-2 times a week and it only gets greasy on the days that I usually wash it - but dry shampoo usually is enough to get rid of it on washing day

I wash my hair everyday and I've noticed it only starts to get oily when my hair becomes used to the shampoo I'm using. I always switch shampoos every 3-4 months and wala, it works.

Kelly is right. A great way to keep it from getting oily as fast is to use dry shampoo on clean hair like right after you wash it once it's fully dry.

One of the reasons your hair is so greasy is because you are washing it so much. Your hair starts to rely on those products. So, the first step is to take it back. I did it and yeah it's gross for a few days but your hair will regulate. Make it goal for hair washing 3 or 4 days of the week instead of everyday it's so much better for you. Also invest in a dry shampoo. Spray some on before you go to bed and then some in the morning as you go about styling. It'll suck up the excess oil your hair doesn't need. I was pretty much in your same situation but with some patience and clever hairstyles my hair eventually got to a much healthier, les greasy state.

I'm in the middle of a month long "hair detox" I'm OCD about washing my hair everyday. My hair started frizzing pretty bad, now I'm on my second week of washing it every 4 days. I have extra long hair and really greasy without everyday washing. I do tight buns and half up half down dos no one has said anything yet...I hate dry shampoos cuz I feel like it leave residue and makes it dirtier and my OCD goes into over drive and I start running my finger along my scalp like crazy I'm praying at my fourth week my hair will start to de grease more and my grease will have settled down a little. Just hang in there and who cares about what other see or say. I spend crazy amounts of money high quality shampoo and need to tame my self to space out my washed for amazing tresses I'm also getting older and thinning is a fear I have another reason to pay more attention to my scalp and hair care.
