I want to get ombre hair but I'm having issues picking colors. I'm leaning towards my natural hair colors to purple to lavender. How much would it cost, what would the up keep have to be. also if you think any other color combos would look good please don't hesitate to suggest them. all I ask is the top part of my hair stays the same color.

Purple hair fades a lot so you got to keep up on it a lot and purple shampoos will help it stay

Cost depends a lot of where you go. Check out the website of the place you plan to get it done. I usually find my hairstylist to give the best suggestions for colors. They usually bring out little samples of hair with the color for you too see and hold next to your to see if it goes with your skin tone. Up keep also depends on what you do. I really recommend discussing this with your hairdresser as well. Good luck!

I have my natural hair color to blue ombré. It was $160 where I went (I had to get red tones out of my hair first, then the ombré, then she curled my hair). It's been about 5 months and my color is still pretty vibrant, it went from a navy to a light blue/green (I can show you a comparison if you'd like) and I just cut down on how often I wash my hair to keep the color in as long as possible (:

Prices always depend on where you go,but purple does fade really fast you should consider going Sally's & asking for shampoos that keep the color vibrant :)

The cost just really depends on where you go. When I got my hair ombré'd from my natural color to purple, it cost somewhere around $110. But I know if I went to the salon just a few stores down then it would've cost somewhere closer to $180. Purple is a very easy color to keep up with in my experience, it does not fade that much and I've only had to touch it up once in the last four months. Lavender on the other hand will fade very quickly and you will have to touch it up weekly or maybe even more often.
