I'm growing my pixie cut out. I'm trying to avoid looking horrible. Most of you know what freshman year of high school is like, trying to impress people. I want my hair to slay the "awkward stages" of growing hair out. Right now it's really frizzy and overgrown all the time. Can y'all send pictures of styles or leave some ideas for how to avoid the awkward stages?

Growing out a pixie is the worst. Until it reaches chin length, there's not going to be a whole lot you can do. I suggest getting a variety of cute headbands, and make bobby pins (to do twists and such) your best friend.

Maybe something like this would work?

Oh and if you want your hair to grow faster, try doing some hair masks. Also, if it's long enough, braid it as much as possible. My aunt is a professional hair stylist and she told me that braiding does a lot and it will be long before you know it!

Doing a hair mask isn't going to make your hair grow faster, there's nothing that will make your hair grow faster. When I was growing out my pixie cut I just brushed it down as much as I could while it was wet so when it dried it would dry as straight as possible rather than flipping up and out in every direction and I turned the from part into side swept bangs.
