So I dyed my hair burgundy like literally 4 days ago and the color already faded away and it's a brown looking color... Why does that happen? It's not the first time either, this always happens to me and every time it fades , it's always the same color brown that it turns into.

Red comes out of your hair very easily. Make sure your shampoo and conditioner are color safe and sulfate free, and try to rinse in the coldest water you can stand to help lock the color in. If your hair type can take it, don't wash your hair more than a few times a week the first couple weeks.

My mom has had this happen to her and she gets so disappointed because she spent money on the dye. I'd go easy on the hair washing for a few days to let it rest and lock. Good luck!

I would say stay away from Walmart target and Walgreens or any stores like that because any shampoo bought in those stores are mostly water, they get salon shampoos and dump half of the real shampoo into an empty bottle and put water in it to sell more and make more money, so try getting a salon shampoo and conditioner. A little more expensive but well worth it!

What Sophia has said is absolutely illegal. I don't know where you got that information from but I'm pretty sure that's not true.

When you're washing your hair wash with cooler temperatured water instead of warm water. The hot water causes the hair to be porous and open up and in turn the color bleeds out. Using cooler water allows the hair to not bleed as much and retain some color. I'd also advise what the other girls have mentioned like putting the color in the shampoo and conditioner and using color safe shampoos and conditioners as well.
