So for heels you'll wear all day. How high and what style?

I wear booties a lot for fall. For everyday, I like them to be around 3 inches give or take a half inch. I don't know if it's the height or the extra supposedly from them being closed toes, but they never bother me during the day :)

It depends on the arch of your foot. If you have a low arch stick to a 2-3 inch heel with a thicker stick at the heel or a wedge heel. If you have a higher arch your feet can handle higher heels with less pain, just avoid thin stick heels (I have higher arches and wear six inch wedges with ease)

I find platforms are the best and most comfortable for me because the ball of your foot isn't directly on the ground, so it evens out the height. Also like Natalie said, the thicker the actual heel the more comfortable because the more your foot has to balance on.

I'm the most comfortable in platforms with a very high heel but I think it's different for everyone depending on their feet and how they feel about the height of their heels.

Alexis C what do you consider very high?
Nov 17, 2015
Alexis C.
I only wear about 5 inches or higher, which I think is generally considered very high (:

I don't wear them daily.

I wear heels quite often as I find them more comfortable and flat shoes put a lot of strain on my knees, but that's my own personal weird issue lol! I think wedges are so so cute (especially booties for winter) and so comfy as they distribute the weight more evenly. Anything with a platform will give heigh without the arch strain as well so keep that in mind!

Brittany F how high do you find comfortable?

It really depends on how often you wear heels, for me the most comfortable are wedges, but I don't normally wear them. Everyone's foot is a little different, I would experiment and try on different shoes.

In all honestly I have my 160mm( about 6.5 inches) louboutins that I reach for constantly and will be comfortable in them all day, I have plenty of 5-6 inch wedges and stilletos that I wouldn't consider uncomfortable. Honestly, when a heel is uncomfortable for me it is usually either digging in somewhere, overly strappy, or too narrow on my foot; I don't usually consider height as a measurement of comfort or discomfort because the position my foot is in is not uncomfortable to me. Although that is 100% due to personal preference, pain tolerance and practice!
