I'm planning on trying the Anastasia Beverly hills contour kit but not sure if I should get the cream or powder versions. Is one better than the other?

I prefer the cream but I often don't use my brow products so I'm not too sure if it's the best. I don't think it really matters since it's all Anastasia 😂

It depends on other factors. Do you gave dry or oily skin? Do you have textural skin issues? Are you going to use it on bare skin or over foundation? If so, what kind of foundation, powder or liquid/cream? Also, I wouldn't just limit yourself to the ABH kit. ABH also sells other shades that are not in the palettes, so you can find your perfect shade. Also, their are other brands you should check out too. Smashbox, Makeup Forever (their 1st kit in the rectangle compact ) not the new ones in the round compact, Too-Faced Cocoa Contour kit,are Marc Jacobs, Bare Minerals & Kevyn Aucoin.

I agree with Marleen. If you have really dry skin, you might like cream better, but oilier skin would probably prefer powder.

I have oily textured skin. Usually I use a cream to contour over foundation then set but the finished look is very mattified. I use Mac full coverage foundation in NC-45. I'm looking at trying different methods to contour/highlight. With all the brands out there. I'm looking for a food pigmentation and quality.

I've read an article by Bobbie Brown where she recommends to use a cream cake foundation for oily skin.?

Do you mean her cream foundation stick?

Well it said use a cream cake for oily skin and a stick foundation is not for oily skin.?

Armando, how do you like the mac full coverage foundation for oily skin? What do you use to set it with? :)

I google BB Cake Foundation & it looks like a powder foundation that you can use wet or dry. Back in the day, they used to call it PANCAKE MAKEUP. A powder formula would be ideal for oily skin but I don't know how well it would work as a contour esp. if it requires a damp sponge for application in order to get adequate pigmentation. I wouldn't definitely test it out at the counter.
