I have a blue ombré currently and as long as you're probably taking care of your hair before and after you bleach it then it'll minimize the damage (:

I'd make sure to go to a salon to get it bleached. I've been really amazed at what I've seen online, have you seen people using Olaplex? It looks like it should be a miracle product that minimizes damage when bleaching. I've never tried it though so this is not personal experience... But it looks magic! Haha :) I honestly don't know if it's a gimmick though :)
Maybe watch a few of the videos that show hairstylists using Olaplex and decide for yourself if you want to go to a salon that uses it.

When you dye your hair you are going to ruin it, but if you take really good care of your hair and don't color it every month then you will be good, I re-dye my hair about every other 2-3 months. When I bleached my hair it ruin it so bad because I kept doing it that I had to wait a year until I could dye it again.

If you really want to dye it, go for it! I do and my hair is fine now since I stopped bleaching it.
