I have some sort of eye infection or I had an allergic reaction to a new mascara I tried (I'll know more when I go to the doctor today) but now I'm concerned that if it is an eye infection that I have to throw out all of the eye make up that I used before getting it. Is there a way to clean it or should I just toss everything? In the last week I've only used one eye shadow and that new mascara.

Any kind of alcohol based brush cleaner can be used on makeup too - just spray down your eye shadows and then let them air dry - mascara is a different story because any bacteria on the brush gets inside the bottle and you can't clean the inside of the bottle without removing all the product - so you just have to buy a new one for that.

The mascara isn't a problem because I really didn't like it I just don't wanna throw away a bunch of palettes.

Yeah as long as it wasn't an allergic reaction to the product then disinfecting with an alcohol based brush cleaner should be fine

Throw out things like mascara and eyeliner (unless you can sharpen it). Other than that, just make sure you disinfect your brushes and tools (eyelash curler). Even if it was an allergic reaction to the mascara, I would still personally disinfect everything else still...

Turns out that I just have a stye under my eyelid probably the result of me sleeping in that new mascara. I was given eye drops for it.
