I always wondered how people got the bold, colorful eyeshadow looks. What eyeshadows should I use and what primer?

I would use the electric palette and a primer. You can also use a white eyeshadow under the color so it stands out. I have some eyeshadows that if I wet they stand out brighter.

Use an eyeshadow base and pigmented shadows. Nyx jumbo pencil in milk is a good base for any colorful eye look (: I also really like the Rimmel scandal eyeshadow stick.

Definitely a white base! You can get some great colorful shadows, just have to know where to look! Makeup geek is very affordable and they have quite a few bright colors. Sugarpill is known for their brights. Saucebox has some good ones too. Urban Decay Vice palettes, but those are going to cost you more.

I'll defenitley try the Nyx jumbo pencil. Do you guys know of any eyeshadows that are colorful other than the UD electric palette?

Hi Jah- jah these types of shades are pretty common in a huge amount of lines. You can get any shade of shadow to look that vibrant on a photo when you up the editing but there are so many line's besides UD that do have vibrant shades that don't need added extras for the color pay off usually in most Indie lines like Santee brand do so, even just the Nyx Hot single shadows or nyx Primal shadows. If the shadow is Good it doesn't need just a white base and nyx stick will not give you the longevity of a shadow it will in fact start to break apart and crease because it's a wax pencil. Let's just say that particular shadow pencil is just for that picture moment at that time which you would still need a base/sealer(it's usually on the stiffer cream consistency) or primer to prolong any wear.try also looking into cosmetic wholesale store's to look into Indie brand's they will surprise you. :)
