Do you have a before and after picture? How long did it take to grow that long? Did you change anything in your hair care routine? It would be helpful if you added some more information (:

To make this a more relevant post Crystal we need to see more than just a picture with hair. Details such as what products were used to achieve your growth and just an overall take on daily maintenance. Even Brandi and Shannie are asking for the same details as well.

At some point I had short hair (about 2 inches short, really spiky) and now it's up to my hips. I'm blessed with really great hair and it didn't take me particularly long for it to get long. My hair grows at least 8 inches or so a year. And when it was shorter it would grow a ridiculous 3 inches in a month. As hair gets longer it doesn't grow as quickly, so be patient. When I had short, spiky hair I washed it every day because of product but once I could put it in a ponytail without strands sticking out and escaping I switched to washing it once a week. You don't want to strip the oil from your scalp. And if your scalp is too oily and you feel you "need" to wash it daily, it's because of daily washing that your scalp is overproducing oil. And you don't really give it time to grow healthily if it's constantly focused on lubricating itself. So bite the billet and switch that habit. If you use product and a significant amount then twice a week should be fine. I don't use product and if I must then I'll just spritz the tiniest amount of hairspray if my flyaways are nuts. But that's it. And I don't use heat on my hair ever. But if you do, try to limit it to once a week. If you flat iron it then it should last a week. If you're curling it, it won't last more than a few days but too much product will bring the bounce down. And as for shampoo I have used Biolage, L'Oreal that comes in a copper/bronze tube (name escapes me at the moment I think it's EverCare or something but it's the coppery tube), Victoria's Secret, Jason's is super awesome, and believe it or not even V05 the protein one (I know it's super cheap but it works). Plus the Mane and Tail one, the smaller bottle. Those are the shampoos I was happiest with that gave a clean feel but full volume (minus the Biolage because the conditioner weighed heavy but smelled deliciously clean and kept hair looking gorgeous, plus they use it in salons). Also, I ALWAYS buy the matching shampoo and conditioner. I feel it's most effective that way. And always switch shampoo/conditioner pairs every 3 months. Your hair will get tired of using the same one and you won't get the same effect out of it. If you have anymore questions just let me know. If I have an answer I'll be happy to respond. And I don't take any hair vitamins but if I can find the one my bestie uses then I'll post it up. She swears by them and her hair is just so luscious and grows fast too!

Those are the vitamins I was talking about that my bestie uses. They're called HairRush and cost I think about $70 USD?
